| For those who wish to immerse
themselves in local history, then the nearby castle towns
of Vigoleno and Castell'Arquato area great places to visit.
Both towns date back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries,
and are beautifully restored to their original grandeur.
Not far distant are the Roman ruins of Velleja, as well
as the walled town of Fontanellato. |

Parma and Modena are
near enough for a day visit, and a trip to Milan for
shopping can be done easily in a day.

For some top brand name
shopping such as Versace, Furla, Reebok and Benetton a
visit to the recently opened Fidenza Village, (a thirty
minute drive from Cergallina), will bring a lot of satisfaction
to even the most avid shoppers.
We suggest that guests hire a car from the nearest large
city, although we can organize taxi transfers from our
local train stations, (Fiorenzuola and Fidenza), or the
nearest airports, (Milan Linate or Bergamo Orio Al Serio).
